So, its been a strange old week:
*the deep sea fishing guy from last friday - AKA Mr tender lips (lol) - has not been heard of again :sad: I refuse to text him cos I always chase him and I need to stop! :bigsmile:
*I had a training day with my boss, which was excellent. He is sooooooooooo sweet, but married
I want a b/f like him! :bigsmile:
* The tree surgeon guy (random guy working at my home) spoke to me in a come on and smiley way!! I almost forgot I was old enough to be his mother!! :laugh:
*I did 3 intense workouts and my eating was under control this week - hoorah! :bigsmile:
*That will all change tomorrow when I go to an all day music festival armed with wine and sammiches!!!!
*Last night I had an overwhelming feeling for a cuddle!! :ohwell: Maybe I'll pick a random stranger for one tomorrow.....:laugh:

No really big news to report. It's friday morning and I've made it through the week so far. I get to leave at 3:00 today too. I have a lunch date/ first meeting today with a lady I met through Match. She is a red head who oversees several facilities that help young children with physical and developmental disabilities. She also teaches yoga and pilates part time. We haven't talked too much prior to meeting. No idea how this will go but the idea of someone who is attractive, fit, intelligent, and responsible has me thinking, "Oh God, Please don't screw this up!"0

I'm having my first date in, well, a really long time, tonight. Someone I met on POF and got to talk to last night. Nothing major, just a slice at the pizza place down the street, but it's pretty amazing to this girl who has hesitated in anything dating related for years. Wish me luck!0

Decided to get back into dating this week created a profile on POF and since tuesday have gotten about 300 messages 90% of them wanting sex. WAS IT SOMETHING I SAID?? yikers..
Anyway... Meeting random hookup guy from three weeks ago tonight.. can't wait. We've been texting everyday ever since. Problem is he's a paramedic and works like 7 days a week, in a city 2 hours away so not much hope it'll turn into anything serious. lol.
Also, have a date with a new guy om Sunday so who knows... I seriously hate dating........0 -
I had a "friend date" last night - someone I met on OK Cupid - but since he doesn't want children and I do (biological clock is tickin' and all), we decided to try friends instead... we met for ice cream last night and talked for a good two hours before it was time to part ways. It'll be nice to have a single friends in the area - my other friends already have families.
I also have a "real" date tomorrow. Met up with him for iced coffee last weekend, but this will be the first actual date

Yesterday was my first day back to work after 13 days off!! In that 13 days I had a softball tourney where half of my team decided not to give a ****, resulting in some drunken fist fights and the possible break up of that team!! Yikes... I played pretty dang good tho.
After that I crafted some bean bag boards for a tourney that we have up at my cabin for our 4th of July pig roast. I think down south they call them "corn hole boards."
The pig roast was last weekend, we had 67 relatives and friends up there for boating, drinking, eating and fishing... lots of fun!!
On the actual 4th my brother had a bbq at his house and then I watched my new favorite show "mountain men" on the history channel.0 -
week started off with sad excitement, but has gotten better. Nothing earth shattering better.....on the 4th I was with my sisters, brother in law and 4 children waiting for them to get ice cream off truck (none for me) and this very good looking man struck up conversation with me. So we chatted, and he was very pleasant AND lives right down the street from my family cottage. However, he had at least 2 children - probably 10 and 12 and no idea if he was married--could have just been being friendly--although this part of the country is not known for that
. We shall see if anything ever comes of it?........... 0 -

I am kinda excited about this date. We have clicked pretty well so far. And he is tall 6'4. Woo!0 -

I got my airplane tickets to NY. Planned to go by myself. Asked a few friends. Then my old b/f (lives on the opposite coast :sad: ) asked if he could come. When I mean "old" I mean 25 years ago. Actually pretty stoked about it. (He's the guy I never forgot...)
So, looking forward to a fabulous time next month.0 -

Nothing much happened this week.
Guess it is offical....no longer single my boyfriend has been talking about us moving in together. I was cool with it but now know there will be 3 teenagers under the same roof all boys not so sure I am ready for it.0 -

A really horrible week, for several reasons, but at least the weekend should be fun. Two birthday parties - one for a very, very camp friend of long standing, which should be moderately outrageous and heaps of fun, though unlikely to offer any potential 'interest', and one for a female friend, who is partnered up, but there are a number of eligible, single men on the guest-list... Plus coffee with a friend I haven't seen for ages, and the opera on Sunday afternoon. Come Monday, I shall probably be exhausted.0

Why not? Does he present any immediate deal breakers? If he's that insistent, and you're not feeling it maybe you could look at it as a "practice date" to try out some of the advice people here have been giving other posters...?0 -

It's more of a gut feeling than a deal breaker. I've really been trying to listen to it.
If this was 4 months ago the idea of a practice date would be OK. However, I've been out so much lately I feel like I want to be more careful. I hate having to explain why I'm not interested. I feel like I leave a wake of destruction in my path! LOL.

In the last 5 weeks I've been out with 8 different guys. But -- the problem is this. I used to think I needed to talk to them on the phone before going out so with all of these guys I did - and I have the gift of gab, or whatever you want to call it. People just seem to be able to talk to me easily so I think it's often misconstrued as "chemistry" which it's actually not. Of the 8 guys, one poofed on me after hanging out 3 times. One didn't contact me after the date and it's been 2 weeks but just messaged me last night. I'm totally not interested - he thinks he's something extraordinary and I just don't see that kind of vanity as sexy. Two guys I still hang with occasionally... just feeling things out still, and four I've had to let down.
Now, I don't think I'm getting a lot of dates for any other reason than where I live. I live in a pretty poor, low populated city with a lot of druggies. LOL Nice, huh? As far as the dating pool here, it's pretty shallow. I just think these guys see me as, I have a job, I have a car and I have my teeth.... win, win, win!0 -

I got a new computer recently so that I could sit around in my fox pajamas and play WOW with my best friend. My cat likes to sit on my chest while I lean back.
It's a good thing I do a lot of running and circuit training or I'd never want to admit that, hahaha!
Oh yeah, my other friend gave birth last night, so now I have a Minion in training. Her Green Lantern onesie is on the way 0 -
