"Bulking" "Cutting" "Maintenance" What's the diff?

OK, So I've seen these terms used here in the group in various posts. What does each mean in the scale of EM2WL?

Generally, if you want to gain weight or muscle you will bulk and add around 250-300 cals/day. Maintenance is just that, eating just the right amount of calories to maintain your weight, and cutting is trying to lose weight so youd take off 250-500 cals off maintenance...
an example:
Maintenance- 2000 calories
Bulk- 2300
Cut- 17500
