What do I eat when I'm out of town?

Going out of town for training next week, and staying in a hotel. They have continental breakfast, bagels, fruit and such. For lunch I'll be eating in a chow hall that does have a salad bar, but not always paleo type meat (breaded, fillings, fried), and there is usually lunch meat (coated with preservatives and sugar). Dinner is on my own. No fridge in the room. Looking for suggestions as to how to survive for the week. Was hoping to go Whole 30 this weekend.

I just ran into this a couple of weeks ago!
For dinner, stick with salmon or chicken or steak - just ask them not to bring the bread, have no qualms asking to substitute double veggies instead of veggies and rice (or whatever the starchy side is).
For breakfast, eggs, for lunch the salad bar is probably your best bet - and maybe they will have grilled chicken in the salad bar? Feel free to call ahead to the place and ask them.0 -
Eggs and fruit at breakfast, salad bar at lunch and see if you can get grilled chicken since most places will have that, and for dinner either see if there is a grocery store you can get to with premade salads (pick out whatever isnt "legal" and don't use the dressing), and lots of grocery stores now have precooked proteins that aren't full of crappy chemicals. Personally I would bring a cooler with ice and stock some things from the grocery store.0

Was thinking about taking a cooler too. Maybe roasted chicken from the grocery store. Taking almond butter and apples as well, one of my favorite snacks/meals.0
