Heart Rate when running

I tend to have a naturally high heart rate, but never experience any issues with dizziness or chest pain. I have had a cardiologist run tests on me a few years back because my resting heart rate was about 90 bmp and I was told I was fine. Any sort of cardio (even walking) will cause my rate to jump to the upper 150s or lower 160s. My target heart rate is between 128 bpm and 167 bpm, but when I run, I usually sit around 174-178 bpm. If I'm not having chest pain or dizziness, am I fine to keep running as long as I keep listening to my body?

That's exactly it. Listen to your body. How fast does your heart rate recover would you say? My hubby is fit and actually has a slightly higher heart rate that me who is not quite as fit...lol. He is totally healthy. If have been checked out and are good I will just do as you stated! Slow down your pace a little if you are overly considered with the HR.
