Can't get water in

Holy batman - Am having issues getting my water in. Yesterday my BP dropped and it took a couple of hours for it to come back. Think it might have to do with the fact I can't get much water in - I just fill up. I drink some protein shake and am full for a few hours. I drink a little water and I am full.

And then today I took a new pill - ack I am full - have been for about 90 mins and am barely able to get a few sips down.

Doc's office said I might need to go to urgent care and get a couple of bags of IV Fluids. Wonder if I can get that done on lunch hour...

If you cant even get water in I would be worried your band was too tight :( You shouldnt have to resort to getting IV fluids to stay hydrated. Take care and if you cant get water down I would certainly check into at least getting some fluids. If it continued I would sure be talking to my doctor again. Let us know what happens!

I got a shot glass and I used that for my water. Every time I emptied it I filled it back up again. It holds about an ounce I think so you can also keep track of how much you are drinking that way. Pretty soon you'll be up to drinking like normal. I know they told you or at least mine did not to use straws but that's about the only way I can measure out how much I'm taking in from the fluids. Otherwise I sip too much and I get hicups etc....

Good luck and yeah go get an IV bag it can't hurt.

It felt silly at the time, but now I see why he did it. My doctor sent me home with a stack of little 2 oz medicine cups and a timer. I was instructed to set the timer for 15 minutes and drink 1 oz of water every time it went off all day long. I did that the first two days home, and now I have no troubles drinking. Worked for me.

your band is too tight if you cant get water down...I had that problem one time and i started drinking slushies insted of water (simply because they were sweet, cant stand taste of water) but every sip i drank came back up... I just figured "some of it must be going down" well two weeks later and 13lbs down i had to get my band adjusted. Not healthy at all. If you cant swallow ur own spit see a Dr, NOW
