Hi all,
Decided to try Keto after friends and family dramatically plead for my abstinence from sugar. I'm 5'3, hovering between 152-154 for the past year after losing 10 pounds from eating less-horribly and from working out A LOT (personal trainer, spin classes). I abused sugar. Even I knew it, felt horrible, and couldn't really stop.

Started reducing carbs last Monday, then 2 days in thought "oh why not just go full Keto" and tried my best to do it but made mistakes in my counting / calculating. I figure they are "beginner's mistakes" that you make when you still don't know how to find the hidden carbs, or you don't consider fiber, or you just hey, are inexperienced. Calories were within my range though, I didn't overeat, as the FAT really helps with hunger!

I also messed up twice with sugar and pasta, not badly, but enough to have to classify last week as "low-carb" and not KETO.
Still lost 2.2 pounds in the process. Rah!!

So I'm 150.6 and am on Full Keto starting now. I know it will be different than "low carb", but will proceed with a careful attitude.
I would love to hear any success stories from anyone, but especially from ladies who are in that 5'3 height range, 40-50 age group, relatively active already, and perhaps of hispanic descent ---- like me -- because we know about being shorter and having hips / boobs / thighs, lol. Thanks for reading, here's to some great Keto karma all around.

low carb really isn't all that different from keto.. unless there are things i am unaware of? either way you're in ketosis, which is the point for most people.

in any case, i've been off and on low carb (20 grams or less per day) for about 10 years. i can never keep up with maintenance because i get comfortable. the weight creeps back on before i know it! i don't have anyone nagging me saying hey - you're getting fat!

3 years ago i lost 40ish pounds in about 6 months (with no exercise) i'm doing it again, but this time i am exercising! because even though i was at a healthy BMI, i was still fat.
i'm short like you, 5 feet or so. i believe in cheat days! usually set one for myself on holidays and special days. knowing i have that to look forward to keeps me in line.
