Question about meds before labs and other stuff

I know that I shouldnt take my Armour before labs but when should I stop? My labs are at 10am on Friday. Should I just not take them Friday morning or should I forego Thursdays dose as well? I typically take it around 6am every morning. Is there anything else I shouldnt take before the labs? Metformin, Vitamin B, Selenium, etc?
Also, I noticed that I felt GREAT about 3-4 weeks after starting Armour but now, it seems like my symptoms are coming back (6 weeks since starting Armour). My hair is falling out so fast that its starting to be noticeably thin on the top. This has NEVER happened, except when I was not on meds at all. Thank goodness I have A LOT of hair!!! I am exhausted by 5pm and a myriad of other things. Why the boost in feeling better/ease of symptoms and then the symptoms came crashing back? I am so worried that my endo will tell me my tests are fine and that I just have to deal with it.
Has this happened to anyone before?

Hi Mindy
FYI. When I was last checked by my new Endo, he told me NOT to take my Armour in the AM and have the test before 10:00am. I took everything else though.
Good luck with your test.

Hi Mindy! I have been reading all these thyroid threads today hoping to find some answers myself. I have been on thyroid medicine practically my whole life (diagnosed at 3 years old). I was on synthroid the whole time and lived a perfectly normal life until I had children and my system has been out of whack ever since. I gained a ton of weight when I got pregnant and I have never been able to get it all off. I have suffered from depression, exhaustion, hair loss..you name it. Shortly after my third child, I got a new doctor and he put me on Armour. I have been on it for about 6 years. I really don't know if it is working any better or not. I feel more like myself but I still suffer from short bouts of depression and am still losing hair. I don't know if the depression is because I can't seem to lose any weight or that I can't lose the weight because of the depression. For the past 8 weeks, I have busted my *kitten* through diet and exercise and this morning stepped on the scale to a 3lb gain. I am beyond frustrated! I was looking at the diary's of a few people on here for suggestions on what I should be eating as a person who is hypothyroid and I am sorry, but I want to eat like a normal person. I don't do 1200 calorie diets and I don't eat stuff that sounds like it comes out of a witches potion. I don't mind taking a few vitamins and supplements but I don't want to be ruled by that stuff. I am planning to go back to the Doctor soon to have him check my levels again. I am sorry this post is of no help to you but wanted you to know that you are not alone in your frustrations. Just wish that I could get this disease regulated properly and finally feel normal again.0

Do you have a copy of the book "Stop The Thyroid Madness"? I'm about half way through mine. So far, it has been SO helpful in helping me learn how MANY MANY pieces and systems in my body are affected by my thyroid. Just when one thing seems in balance, something else seems out of whack. The book's author, Janie Bowthorpe, is very helpful in guiding the reader through the process of identifying which system might be out of balance. I finally feel like I'm healing and not just surviving from one TSH lab to the next. I'm sorry I don't have any more specific advice. Despite having hypothyroidism in common, I think all of our bodies respond differently.
If I were you, I'd just skip the meds the morning before the lab.
Good luck!0
