Normal TSH/Free T4

So specialist is happy that I finally have reached normal TSH / Free T4 levels (even though he has yet to run a Free T3). When I spoke with him on the phone re: ongoing symptoms, he stated to give it 4 - 6 weeks for my body to start working now that they found the right dose.

Seeing as I cannot get in with another specialist for 3 months I don't have much of a choice... however... I am keeping meticulous notes and obtaining copies of all of the lab reports that come back. Primary Dr appointment next week and will see about maybe seeing a separate specialist for the symptoms (pain, light headed when walking, etc).

MAYBE... just maybe... I can feel 'normal' within another 2 months!

He has my on the Levexothyne (sp?) 175 mcg/day. Took quite a while but finally came back in normal range. Hoping to finally start getting some relief!

I hope for your sake, that it does too. Have you read the info on stopthethyroidmadness.com ? Very interesting.

I was put on 75 mg of synthroid, then 37 mg. - was getting hyperthyroid symptoms, so was taken off of it. Now that the hypo is coming back... sigh...:ohwell: I am going to a naturopath & going to insist on being put on the natural thyroid. The NP is also looking at the T3 & T4 levels, as well as adrenals.... so I am hopeful... But meanwhile, my symptoms are getting worse again & heart slowing down worse... this morning it was 43 bpm when I was up, drinking my 1st cup of coffee. :ohwell:

Do you feel any better now that your TSH level is normal?
