Hey everyone.. I'm starting JMBR on Monday and I know what the fitness rotation is but I'm confused about the 2 workouts a day? Is that optional? Do you just have to do 2 workouts a day for 1 week or for all of phase 1?

One more thing. I am going to the store this weekend to buy some weights... Is there a certain size I'm supposed to get or just whatever is comfortable for me? I was just going to get a two 3 lb weights.. would that work?

The 2 a day rotation is for the kickstart week. I've read elsewhere that some people are adding in additional cardio along with the workouts throughout the 90 days. It's up to you if you want to add extra or not, but imo your added workouts should probably be cardio only. Extra strength training outside of the program will interfere with your bodies ability to recover. I'm also starting on Monday:)

The jumpstart (2 workouts) is optional. You can do all 90 days at 1 workout per day.

They use 3, 5, and 8s in the video. I would at least get 3 & 5. I doubt 3 will be enough to get results with the larger muscle groups.

As others have said the jumpstart is optional. I did it (though on double cardio days I did the dvd once then another form of cardio)
I have dumbell weights ranging from 3lbs to 35lbs. I did have these previous to purchasing JM though.
I mostly use 8-12lbs at the moment and I'm just about to finish phase 1 work outs 1-2.
Though for triceps I still use 8lbs the first round then 5lbs :(
Just to give you an idea on range.

I never did the 2 X a day for the jumpstart week, although, I did follow her diet paln for that week. My first go round, I had 3 and 5 pound weights, for when she said grab a heavy or light weight. This time, I'm using 5 and 8 pounds for the lighter and heavier weights.

Go with what is comfotable, yet will push you a bit.
