Will someone please let me know where the post is that explains what all the abbreviations are that are used throughout these discussions. I'm new to this group and am feeling overwhelmed. I'd like to understand but I all I can figure out on my own is BMR =base metobolic rate? I visited the website Scooby's Home Workouts and I watched his video. Unfortunately, he assumes I know these abbreviations also. What post on this site explains the science and the bottom line to Eat More to Weigh Less (EMTWL)?
Thanks.

If you read through the stickies above, it will explain what the common abbreviation sets are..
Main ones are:
BMR - Basal Metabolic Rate. What your body needs to survive in a comatose state
TDEE - Total Daily Energy Expenditure. Total amount of calories needs to maintain your current weight
Cut or 15%-cut Taking 15% off your TDEE value to get your "Cut".. this is a healthy amount of calorie deficit in order to see sustainable weight loss
NROL or NROL4W - New Rules of Lifting for Women, By Lou Schuler. Strength training book, part weight program, part meal planning, part "eat more" science and the reasons why diet fail.
TOM - Time of Month:)
