Knee pain

I completed W2D1 last night (Yey!) and even though it was hard going, especially with the incessant rain, I did it! A few hours after my run my knees started to ache a bit and it''s a bit worse today. It's both knees, just below the joint so I don't think it's shin splints.
Anybody else getting this? Any advice on how to prevent/help it? Should i give myself another rest day before W1D2 on Wednesday?

Hmmmm. Well, I can say that my knees have ached in the past but I haven't had an issue recently. I drink Elations sometimes for joint health. It has glucosamine and chondrotin, which I'm told is good for the joints. It comes in a pill version but, because I have a hard time swallowing bigger pills, I choose to just go with the drink.
You definitely need to listen to your body. If you think you need to wait another day then do it. If you don't want to go without working out, then maybe walking would be good. Maybe slowing down your jog will help, if that's possible.
Maybe someone else has been through something similar and can let you know what they did BUT please take care of you. We have already had one person that wanted to do this with us but has had to drop out because of their knees.

Thanks, I'll look into those supplements. I ran last night but considerably slower than I had been, it was quite painful but not unbearable. Might just have to repeat week 2 if I don't think I can step it up to w3 next week!0
