The Nutrition Stuff

Hi all,
I'm into week 3 of the Insanity workouts, and have been doing the workouts daily as scheduled... but honestly I have not followed the nutrition portion at all. That's not to say that I don't continue to eat healthy foods, and make sure to include lots of proteins, healthy fats, and carbs... I just didn't go so far as to follow the recipes in the nutrition booklet, or the calorie allowance.
Now, based on the calculation in the booklet, i should be eating about 2290 cals for weight loss, and something like 2400 to maintain. Based on MFP's calculation, my daily calorie allowance is 1240 (not including exercise cals). If I eat back all my Insanity cals it still only puts me at about 1500-1600 depending on the workout. Definitely a HUGE difference between that and 2290!!!
Admittedly as of the last 2 weeks i would say i'm eating more than I did before starting Insanity... not necessrily because I'm hungrier as he says will happen in the nutrition booklet... more because I'm curious about the "eat more to lose" concept, and eating back exercise calories. But still, even with being so lax on my calories, I don't think i'm even breaking 2000/day (maybe sometimes, but not every day). And I'd say I'm maintaining my weight, and not losing. Mind you, i haven't measured since I started... I'll measure on my rest week in 10 days.
Is anyone else in a similar situation? Who follows the booklet's cal recommendations, and who doesn't? Does anyone else find it difficult to eat that much (not difficult like you couldn't just mow a Subway sub... that'd pretty much take care of it, but difficult maybe to wrap your head around)?
Sorry for the babble... it has been on my mind. Thanks for reading, and for whatever advice you might have for me!
Cheers,
krnl

I don't follow either I eat as much as I can and try following the calorie intake but I still have not come close to eating as much as Im suppose to. I am on week 2 (almost done) and I haven't lost any. I have tried something different this week and seeing if it works I guess we will see. I have a problem following a menu I have to do it my way. Hopefully we can figure something out that works with our body.0
