I need help. One of my besties is finally trying to get healthy. She asked for me to make her Ambrosia salad for her birthday since that is her FAVORITE dish! I usually add marshmellows to it. Some how I just feel that is so wrong since she is on the road to healthy eating and it has been a true struggle for her but she is trying!

What ideas do you have to substitute for the marshmellows? The recipe has the usual suspects:pineapple, orange segments, grapes and yogurt and pecans. She said wait till August till the detox phase is over....I need help because she will be looking for it! :smile:

    I've never had ambrosia, but if you make your own marshmallows, you can substitute the sugar with stevia (which has a light vanilla flavor to it), so you would cut out most of the calories. Marshmallows are just gelatin, sugar, and vanilla.
