I need help. One of my besties is finally trying to get healthy. She asked for me to make her Ambrosia salad for her birthday since that is her FAVORITE dish! I usually add marshmellows to it. Some how I just feel that is so wrong since she is on the road to healthy eating and it has been a true struggle for her but she is trying!
What ideas do you have to substitute for the marshmellows? The recipe has the usual suspects:pineapple, orange segments, grapes and yogurt and pecans. She said wait till August till the detox phase is over....I need help because she will be looking for it!

I've never had ambrosia, but if you make your own marshmallows, you can substitute the sugar with stevia (which has a light vanilla flavor to it), so you would cut out most of the calories. Marshmallows are just gelatin, sugar, and vanilla.0
