Hey guys,

This week I am going to be checking and writing down my 3 rep max for one lifting exercise for each body part. I want to do this so that I have something to compare to at the end of the 90 days. I like to do 3 rep max because im really focusing on gaining as much strength as I can. You can do 6 reps max or even 8 or 10 if you are doing lots of toning work. Mostly im just writing down my thoughts if anyone wants to do it with me.

Here are the lifts im going to measure myself against.
Chest - Flat Bench Press
Back - Upright Row and Dead Lifts
Bicepts - Standing Curl
Tricepts- Skull Crushers
Shoulders - Arnold Presses
Legs - Squat

That is why I decided to do 3 rep max. Much safer and most the time a better check of progress.

I don't have anyone I trust enough yet at my gym to spot me doing any kind of max right now. You'd be surprised how much having a spotter you trust unconditionally will allow you to increase the weight you are able to lift.

I increase my weights weekly by 5 or 10lbs. Then I do dropsets and negative reps for certain exercises. My Goal is to get learner and not focus on bulking and building insane mass.

I probably shouldn't be in this group as I am not going to be that hard core 3 x 3 max weight lifting person. I'm lifting to get svelt. I like that word, svelt. I do however love reading everyones results and the massive amount of weight you can lift. Holy crap!!
