Half done

I ran (yes ran all of it!) my first half on sun 15th July at Run Melbourne.
It took me 2h3m50s to do the 21.1km | 13.1mi. I have now knocked 2 goals off my list. 1. finish a half marathon (tick), 2. Run a half marathon (tick). It would have been totally awesome to tick my 3rd one off, and that was to do it under 2hours, but you know what it doesn't matter, because next time I know I will. I'm so excited, I can't wait to do another one. All that training, hills, speedwork paid off.
I thought the course was not that hilly but a lot of people complained about the hills, just as well where I live is deceptively hilly, cause it obviously paid off.
I also ended up running the 2nd half faster than the 1st half, so yah me for negative splitting.
If you would like to read about it you can on my blog http://lifeofanoniongirl.wordpress.com/2012/07/16/21-1km-run-melbourne/
