Advice on "Netting" My BMR

I'm at 208 pounds, trying to get down to about 180 pounds or 12-13 percent body fat from around 21 percent.

I'm at a BMR of 1,800 to 1,900, depending on which calculator I go with, so I set it at 1,850. My TDEE is around 2,300, based on being sedentary--desk job--and I factor in exercise manually, then eat back exercise calories to get to about 1,500, which represents a calorie deficit of 800 for the day, or about a 1.5 lb. loss per week.

If I must "net" my BMR every day, I'm only at a 400 to 450 per day calorie reduction, which comes out to losing less than a pound per week.

No problem with eating my BMR--I believe that's totally healthy--but "netting" the BMR does not seem to make sense from a weight loss perspective.

EMTWL is a slow approach to lose weight. This is not a quick fix. The beauty about it, is that it is sustainable. You will not feel deprived and are less likely to binge.
