Is this normal?

hi all,
I'm fairly new to this way of eating (only about 3 weeks) and I've read on here that you can expect some weight gain when first starting. The first 2 weeks, I dropped, not a lot, but it was a drop, which was nice to see because I'd been losing and gaining the same 2 pounds for 5 years!
then this week I weighed myself and I'd gained almost 3 pounds! Is this normal even after a few weeks of losing? I should hang in there?
I can't seem to get enough food in me to net my 2194 cals I'm supposed to have, but I am always above my BMR of 1665...I try to get the proper protein/carbs/fat ratio, but it's really difficult..
thoughts?

Completely normal.
Think about past weight loss diets... you would be doing fine, and then all of a sudden you have a binge day or weekend, and suprise!! the scale dropped that week and you are shocked.
Same thing applies here. YOur body initially is like "WOW!!! Im getting fed!!!" so it drops some water weight. But because you have continued to eat at the higher, correct level, your body starts to conserve all it can get, because it thinks you are going to turn around and starve it again. Give it a few more weeks and you will find things will even out again.
If you arent doing a reset and are eating the 15%cut value, just keep going along and see what happens. It can take a few weeks or more for your body to trust you are feeding it. Be consistent and eat your correct value daily. If you drop too low too often, then you confuse the body and can do some sabatoge from it. Work on eating high calorie, low density foods, like oils, nuts, spreads, cheese. things that done require a lot of extra "food" in order to add in the cals. If gets easier to eat more the longer you do it:)0
