Do you know any men doing NROFLW?

Hello

I just finished the book and I am really looking forward to starting the program. However I just managed to convince my boyfriend to start lifting with me. Do you think a man could do NROLFW? I can't really see why not. We are both beginner. I know there is NROL which I think is aimed at men but I don't think I could convince him to read a whole book on lifting. And it would be nice if we could do the same program.

It would be great to get a few opinions on it!

I don't know any personally, but I don't see why a man couldn't do it. In fact the book's aim is to get women to lift like men, and the weight room is generally filled with men, too. The moves certainly aren't specific to women and will be just as challenging for him.

I'd say go for it -- it would be fun to have a partner to work out with!

My husband has been doing it with me. I actually have him substitute a few of the fancier lifts for something else... like the prone cuban snatch isn't really something he wants to do, so he just does big *kitten* rows.

He does army PT as well - but lifting is something we do together, so it doesn't make sense for us to have completely separate routines. A lot of times instead of pushups, he'll do bench press since he does "enough damn pushups during the day, thank you", but for the most part, we do the same thing.

There is nothing woman specific about the NROL4W program, just the book is geared toward women. All of the exercises in the program are also in NROL4 Life, so it isn't as if anyone on the gym floor is going to know he's doing a woman's program.

Just got notice this morning about the latest NROL book due out December 31....have you heard? The New Rules of Lifting Supercharged...Ten All New Muscle-Building Programs for Men and Women. I can't wait.

I'm excited for that! I'm going to put it on my Amazon wish list!

I could see myself doing NROL forever because I really like having a varied, structured routine that gives me great results. I have thought about doing NROL for Abs and then NROL for life, but a book with 10 new routines would be great, too! Good to know that I won't run out of lifting routines.

I don't know men doing the program, but I do know the model on the cover of the men's book. He is a training to the stars in NYC and HE highly recommends the program which is why he endorses it.

My male housemate is doing it with me. He started at higher weights than me but now I've pretty much caught up with him  . He's been an amazing help at spotting me and helping to check my form

Thank you all for the responses! I am excited to do it with him! It'll be nice to have someone to help with form etc. Also I am little intimated to go to the lifting area all by myself  So it would be good to start with him to gain some confidence.

And the new book sounds interesting! Will have a look for it!
