'young lady?' there is a certain disconnect with someone in their mid-20s calling anyone, except a fifth grader by that nick. he might want you to wear knee socks and a plaid catholic school uniform, a la Madonna, once he gets to know you.0

I wouldn't worry about the "young lady" thing. It was just an off the cuff remark.
As for ways to get someone's name without actually asking:
1) Introduce him to someone else. He'll likely say his name as he shakes their hand.
2) Scour the employee directory.
3) Hand him your phone and tell him to program his number in your addressbook.
4) File harassment charges (won't get you a date, but you'll learn his name for sure).0 -
