How much water is too much?

I'm trying to give up diet soda so I've started drinking water like crazy. I have a Camelbak water bottle that's 750ml, so just over 24 ounces. I've filled it up probably 5 or 6 times today - which is over 15 to 18 cups of water. Is this too much? I didn't think it was an issue, but my boyfriend noticed me refilling the water pitcher over and over and told me that I shouldn't be drinking this much. And now I'm googling symptoms of water intoxication and am super paranoid!!
Anyone have any thoughts?

Hey,
I would only worry about water intoxication if you are drinking a gallon within a time period.. like constant drinking water with no breaks.. 15 to 18 cups of water is above average, However if you are doing any sort of exercising or outdoor activity (especially if your in the states with the heat thats going on) then that is not above average.... Also water intake can change with how much sodium you take in.. I wouldn't worry about it... but you may get annoyed with the bathroom breaks.0 -
I read somewhere that you should be drinking 1/2 your weight in ounces of water a day as a minimum. Anything more than that, especially when it's hot or you've been sweating a lot is normal. I wouldn't worry about the water intoxication so much.0
