Hi I'm new here - and I' on day 3 of the 21 day primal challenge.
For me parts of this are really easy - I've been buying all my meat & most of my veg from an organic farm for the last couple of years
The big challenge is the wheat, rice, pasta & potatoes
I was a massive consumer of bread, toast for breakfast, sans which for lunch, bread with diner
So day 3 - few headaches and a couple of tummy pains - otherwise all well so far
So any hints, advice & encouragement greatly received
Cheers
Dave

Stick with it! You are going to love it! I have been doing it for 45 days and love it! Today is my first day of eliminating dairy and doing the Whole30. I had already given up the grains, legumes, alcohol, etc. My first week was my worst week, but kept at it with promises of new energy. Now I work out about two to three hours a day and have a lot of clarity. Drink lots of water! My other advice is to find time to meditate. Take some personal time to focus on you and your goals. Even if the only way to get personal time is in the shower, make some time where you reflect on what you did well and what you would like to do better each day. Visualize a better you ENJOY!0

Thanks for the advice
I think the hardest will be beer - I have several social events coming up!
Will see how that goes, thanks for the encouragement & advice0 -
I know how you feel! I am on day 5 and still working on a few things :P The carb flu is getting better everyday, the 2nd day was the worst, I was uncontrollably angry and tired all day long. So far I really am loving it though, and I'm not hungry even though my "calories" aren't nearly as high as they used to be! I've been working on the parts about limiting electronics and taking more time for me, playing a bit more and not stressing about everything. Good luck with it!0

Just stick with it..you'll live I swear!
I did primal for a month, and today was day 4 of a whole30 (30 days of no sugar except from fruits/veggies, no legumes, no wheat or rice of course, no dairy and no alcohol -- the last 2 are the toughest for me since I love wine and cheese).
Once you get over the carb flu, your brain feels so clear and you'll have so much energy. You'll get to the point of not even wanting bread and potatoes. I LOVE(d) both, and I haven't had the urge to eat either at all. When you feel like you're going to break down and cram a baguette down your throat, remember that it is "poison" and you don't need to eat it to live0 -
I am finishing my second week of Primal/Paleo. I was an avid beer drinker, so I know that is a tough one. I have just switched to a glass or two of red wine when I feel like a sip.
Fatigue and headaches hit me around day 3 or 4 as well. It passes quickly, and you will feel better. Good luck!0
