Yes, another challenge. Hope you all don't mind. Ok, so for some of you, this one is really going to be a challenge. For others of you, you are going to probably gobble the time up in the first two weeks, but the idea is to try to keep track of how much you workout in a week. You'd be amazed at how long it can take sometimes to get 1000 minutes in a month. Just to break it down for you, 1000 = 3X67min workouts per week = 4X50min workouts per week= 5X40min workouts per week = 6x34min workouts per week = 7X29min workouts per week. Hopefully that gives you an idea of how much work 1000 minutes in a month is. For some of you that do a lot of walking and cleaning house, This should not be too difficult for you. Maybe a challenge for you would be to only include those exercises that raise your heart rate to the fat burn stage. This is the stage in which you are moving around so much and so fast that it is rather difficult for you to talk or sing. You can still do it but run out of breath rather quickly. I hope that you will take this challenge. If not this month, maybe next month. Since there are only week 4 and 5 left, we will start the challenge at 400 to finish the month. Notice that week 5 is shortened, so if you wait until week 5 to get 400 minutes in, you may have a hard time catching up. So make sure you get some good workouts in this week. Use the same concept as the weight challenge. Just copy and paste the list, then as each week passes, go back to your previous post and copy, paste, and include your new information.
Week 1 (July 1-7): Skip
Week 2 (July 8-14): Skip
Week 3 (July 15-21): Skip
Week 4 (July 22-28): 45 minutes (so far. I have decided for myself not to include cleaning because I don't even sweat anymore doing that. Maybe it's because i live in a cool basement. )
Week 5 (July 29-31):
Total Minutes: 45
Minutes Left: 355
If after a month you find 1000 to be too easy, maybe change your goal to be 1500 minutes in a month or even 2000 in a month. I would not go beyond that unless you have professionals working alongside of you to make sure you don't hurt yourself. Have fun!
