Power clean help

I'm adding power cleans into my routine starting today, but I'm a little at a loss as to where to begin with the weight. I've been watching videos, and I've done them before (months ago), so I feel *okay* about the form. But any tips for figuring out how heavy to lift would be helpful.

I don't remember what I was doing before. Is there another lift that might be able to give some kind of idea as to how heavy my power clean should be? I'm obviously willing to play around with it, but I just want some kind of starting point for playing with the weight, if possible.

For what it's worth, I currently squat 145 lbs (3x5), deadlift 175 lbs (1x5), bench 90 lbs (2x5) (but does bench even matter here?), and OHP 70 lbs (2x5).

Thoughts? Tips?

Agree with using the bar to start with.

For your reference I have been doing olympic lifts for quite a while and my max hang clean is about 130lb whereas my back squat is 215lb. Not sure if that's typical though.

Can I ask what is stopping you? Unless it is injury, illness or resources there should be nothing stopping you! I started doing it when I was way more overweight, with not much strength and even less of a clue! I've seen kids oly classes run with 8 yr olds lifting 3kg!!
