I just got a fitbit and it says that i burn 3480 calories a day.
I'm a 5'6" male
Wgt. 230
38 yrs old.

I have a desk job but would consider myself moderately active. I excercise at least 1/2 hour a day.
How many calories should I be eating.

OK so I ran the numbers on the Scooby site:

    http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/

    Says:
    BMR: 2080
    TDEE: 3219
    TDEE-15%:2740

Your Fitbit would be more accurate (all the sites that have these calculations are approximate).
  • Thank you for your response. TDEE-15% is what I should be eating including excercise?

Just eat TDEE - 15% or 15% less than what your fitbit says you are burning, whichever one seems more attainable for you. Don't eat exercise calories back.
  • Thank you
