I have been sucking it up and pushing through my elbow pain for a couple of months. shockingly its not getting any better, so i decided to see my doctor who referred me to a orthopedic specialist. I have have a huge brace that i have to wear every day, all day for the next 5-6 weeks, plus physical therapy. after that i have to get back to the doc and possible get a cortisone shot.

i have to admit that it sucks having the brace, but my elbow is not hurting as bad. I worked on the outdoor kitchen again this weekend but I took the last two days off from working out.

tonight should be fun. will attempt my normal workout with the brace on.. should feel great to have the extra insulation and lack of mobility (in a 100 degree gym). I will let you know how it goes.

update.. good workout. no group session today so i did my own thing..
    stretching
    foam roller rollout
dynamic warmup including agility ladder exercises.
3 rounds superset of high box jumps and medicine ball slams.

    move to weight room.
3 sets snatches thoracic mobility exercises during rest
3 sets of front squats. with farmer carries during "rest"
3 sets barbell hip bridge with 5 second hold

    move to condiitioning area.
10 rounds of heavy sled pushes. 20-30 second rest.
6 rounds of airdyne bike intervals.

all that with an arm brace and in a 100 degree gym. lol
  • Great job, but don't over do it. I've had to slow down and even stop some of the weight lifting due to elbow pain. It's not fun, and hate to hear your having problems with it.

Wow great workout! Maybe I should rest more like you! However I just got dr's orders to bed rest so I changed my calorie goals so I don't over eat. Managed to get strep throat & bit by a brown recluse in the same week. I wish my bike would quit stairing at me... lmbo
