Is induction neccessary?

I have done low carb before, did the induction but kept my carbs low (below 20g with an occasional go over) even pass induction phase. I stopped in March when my then fiance got home but now that the wedding/honeymoon and family visits are done I want to get back on low carb. Is it really necessary to do an induction phase again? I have my carbs set at 10% of 1600 calories which gives me 40g a day allowance. My calories are more of a problem right now because I seem to be hungry A LOT..... but I am not so much worried about them as once I get good 2 weeks into it, I will have to force to get 1600 calories in.
Just curious about induction....feel free to take a look at my diary (only 2 days as I just rejoined )

induction will firmly seat you in ketosis, but if you can get into ketosis on 40 grams, then go for it.0

Well I just did a ketone strip and I guess I am in ketosis because it's reading between small and moderate!! I definitely wasn't expecting that 2 full days in but hey... it's purple/pink!0
