So normally my workout schedule is as follows: Mon/Wed Strength Training, Tues/Thurs/Sat C25K, Friday Rest Day, Sunday 60 min Power Walk. Next week I have to go to Vegas for a wedding; I leave on Friday and get back on Monday. As you all can imagine, it's going to be a busy weekend. I've been making great progress and sticking to my program so I don't want to lose my momentum. Do you think it would be bad to do C25K 3 days in a row? Or two days in a row with one strength training day in between? I just don't want to take the chance thinking that I'll have time to run and then I don't and I wasn't prepared. I am on Week 5 so next week is Week 6. I haven't looked ahead (it usually screws with my motivation) so I thought I'd ask those who have been there already. Thanks so much!

I have run c25k workouts 6 days/wk since I started progressing as fast as I could take them. I had no problems with the segmented workouts. The longer runs, 25 min and up, are more difficult to do back to back days. Just assume you will have a bad run occasionally. W6D3 is the start of the longer runs and continues until graduation.
I am comfortable enough with wk 7 now to move to W8 on my next run which will be Sunday. I have decided to enter a local 5k this Saturday just to see how I will do and what the whole experience is like. Will probably wish I didn't enter the last 0.5 mi. of the race. Taking today and tomorrow off to rest up.0 -
Friday is a rest day, Sat is c25k, Sun is a power walk and Mon is strength training.
This is what I would do.
Forget about the power-walk. You'll do a TON of walking in Vegas and so it will be fine to skip.
Monday, I'm going to assume you'll be home in time to strength train.
That only leaves 1 day of c25k you have to fit in. You can either do it Fri, Sat, Sun, or possibly Monday... I bet you any money your hotel has a gym, and I bet you any money you can carve out an hour of your vacation to get to the treadmill. That's what I'd do!
Your best bet to sneak it in might be on the day of the wedding. Tell people you have to get ready an hour earlier than you normally would. Then get to the treadmill, pound out your workout and hop in the shower. You'll feel so good!0
