Derby, NROWL, and 1/2 Marathon Training: Am I Crazy?

Oh - and lose the last 10 pounds? I know I should probably focus on one thing at a time, but - roller derby is my sanity (and sometimes insanity) and a huge super-important part of my life (that is nearly year-round with a couple of three-week breaks a year). Weight training is something I know I *should* do even though I don't really enjoy it that much (I do like the results!), and my friend who's moving to Philly wants me to do the Philly 1/2 marathon with her this November (I have several distance races under my belt already so I'm not too worried about the mileage).
At least I won't have to worry about not being active enough - but I have a feeling these conflicting goals are somehow going to work against one another to get my body where I want it to be.
Crazy or might it just work?

Yes, you are crazy!
Actually, this link was posted on the EM2WL fb page yesterday and it might help you evaluate how to train: http://pfitpfun.com/2012/06/16/the-why-will-determine-the-how/
I think you can do all three, you just have to find the right exercise plan to accommodate your goals that won't get you into an over training mess. :happy:0 -
ditto, you're crazy But I bet the challenge keeps your mind very occupied! You MUST do what you love (derby), NROWL will help you long term with both and training for the half will keep you close with your friend...it's only a few months, RIGHT?! You can do it!
Earlier this summer I was training for a tri and doing many things at once and now am down to just NROL4W and yoga. I find myself having the urge to do more but I am trying 4 weeks of doing less I am hoping my focus pays off.0
