Suggestions for food/exercise?

I'm Niki. I'm 19 years old, will be 20 come this December. I roughly weigh 100lbs, though I've had scales (and the Wii Fit) tell me I weigh anywhere from 92-110lbs. I've got a small body build, but lately I've noticed how much excess fat my body is storing, giving me a pooch when I sit down. I'm trying to tone my stomach and thin and tone my thighs. And having a firmer butt would be a plus as well, but I'm not really aiming for that as much. Any food tips or exercises you guys find to be highly effective?
I've been doing jump rope for the past few days for about 10-15 minutes total, and if I can't/don't want to do that I make up for it by adding time to my kickboxing video. I can't really stick to traditional work outs, they tend to bore me after a day or two. I want to get a hula hoop as well, but not sure how effective that'll be. Suggestions?
