Season 1 was really a good one with the "Ice Truck Killer", and Jimmy Smits did an awesome job in Season 3 as Miguel Prado, but I have to say my favorite season was Season 4 with John Lithgow as Trinity. He played a totally creepy character.

    i liked lumen also. but i have to agree trinity was good too.I really liked brother sam

    Season 4 and Season 5 are a tie. Trinity and Lumen where excellent characters and the interactions with Dexter had me nervous every episode!

    I have to concur about 4th season with Trinity. Lithgow was awesome in that role and I was at the edge of my seat so many times!!
