What about fiber...I was subtracting my fiber from my carbs...Then I asked about plateau and was advised to have my TOTAL carbs around the 20 mark...I have since come out of my plateau (Thank you everyone here for you great insight and advice) but now I am concerned that I am not getting enough fiber.. I'm a little afraid to go back to doing the "Net" carb because I stalled out for so long before, yet I would like to increase the fiber in my diet..advice, suggestions........... Thanks again

Atkins Endulge - Chocolate Coconut Bar 40 g Net 3, 40 g
you only ate them once, but cut those out. endulge means candy. the bars are 'slightly' better (less sugar alchols) but those are what would kill you more than too much fibre.

Harvest - Beer Sausage Sticks, 2 stick (27g) i wouldn't eat too many of those either.
the majority of your carbs should be from veggies, looks like most of your are from dairy.. dairy can stall some people
do you eat chicken and cauli everyday?! wow. that's dedication, haha.0 -
Yes chicken and cauli ALL the time Its simple fast easy for me, I pre cook the chicken so its a grab and throw together meal after woork..Weekends are more variety..
As for the Beer sausage sticks,( I use cheese for the same reason) seriously I was told eat more calories so these are fillers basically
I am more then happy to eat more veggies, I was just concerned that I wasnt suppost to minus the fiber..Now that I know Go for it I will feel more inclined to change up my diet and include more veggies..
What is your take on veggies like peas and carrots??? I heard to stear clear of these as they are high carb???
Atkins well that was shopping (I was at walmart) first time I ever tried an Atkins product, NOT my norm.0 -
carrots, i would eat very sparingly, same with peas.. if there was a few in a stirfry it would be okay.
sometimes i get the bagged lettuce for salads, it has a few carrot shreds in it, i don't mind those.0 -

Yeah that and you dont get fat from fruit!! This is B*LLSH*T!!!!! I tried the raw vegan thing for about 6 months gained 20 pounds all while running an hour a day!!! Went low carb dropped the weight I had gained in a matter of 6 weeks and feel better then ever0

yep, i stalled for 5 weeks on a 90% fruit and veggie smoothie diet. i was doing it cuz i LOVE frosty fruits and veggies in the blender when it's hot, and florida is very hot this time of year, but i couldn't lose a pound. my only change-up was a big fatty ribeye every TGIF.
decided 10 days ago to go very low carb, and lost three pounds in 10 days, but i still tend towards too many carbs when i forget the plan. lol i put a half banana into a mocha/cocoa smoothie the past few days and lost ketosis. soooo, back to dark greens, i think you can eat about a hundred pounds of kale and spinach and mushrooms (kidding) but one tropical fruit and your insulin thanks you, your fat cells thank you and your serotonin levels go all happy on ya.
i just want to get to my goal weight, with low carb, and exercise [beach-walking, swimming and rebounding] then ease back into a mostly fruit and veg diet. but now i know that protein and fats aren't evil, so i will find a good balance to live with and live happily ever after.0 -
I miss bananas and Dates the most,,but I dont miss what bananas and dates did to my *kitten* LOL0

moan, yes dates and prunes and figs. i have a pound in the fridge, dried. i had a whole houseful of organic produce from my weekly delivery and had just made a big batch of rice pasta salad when i made the jump to low carb. i spent a couple hours turning every fruit i had into frozen fruit - clementines, bananas, apples, oranges, mangoes (fresh from th neighborhood stand), cherries, blackberries. they are all ziplocked and waiting for the return of the smoothie grrl. whine. do you feel my pain?

LOL so was I banana smoothy in the morning made with 3 or 4 frozen bananas
Dateoraid which was like 30 dates blended with almond milk...No wonder I was gaining weight LMAO
I do miss fruit cherries and oranges mmmmmmm however I want that body I see in my mind more then I want the fruit so until then I will just do with out..0
