TRX question

Hello to all,

I have a question. Is the TRX suspension trainer a viable piece of equipment? My goal is to lose weight for baseball and I want to go back down to 175 to 185 pound range from 216 pounds. Is the TRX suspension good training tool for baseball? I've heard weights are the way to go but there are those who swear by body weight exercises. Anyone have experience in training with a TRX for sports?
