What's more important?

Is it your calories comsumed or your macros?

See here is my problem. I should eat 1800 cals. Yesterday for example I ate 1751. I exercised and burned 735 calories. That brings my NET calories to 1016. My BMR is about 1530. So technically I should eat more so that I'm not below my BMR but....if I do that then my macros are off. I'm trying to do Carbs 40%, Protein 40%, and Fat 20%.

So what is more important? I mean yes you want to eat your fruit, veggies, protein, etc but how do you balance it all out? Do I worry more about fueling my body even if I go over my macros? What is everyone else doing?

My macros are 35/35/30...30% good healthy fats...

I shoot for protein period first and foremost and the rest falls into place...

I would say get in your protein!

Thanks! I feel like I'm going backwards and I hate that feeling. I'll try and work on the protein part and see if that helps the rest of it.

Lucia I just changed my macros to your percentages. I'm going to see if that makes things easier for me to hit. Hopefully it will.

    Thanks!
