6 Month Comparison

So I thought I would do a 6 month measurement comparison for myself and to share with you all. Even though I am still with a little TOM bloat I wanted to do it on the same day, the 6th. I am not going to take this time to point out anything negative. I am a working mother of 2 boys and have moved my *kitten* as much as I could with the time I have. I have made a conscious effort to provide better meals for myself and my family. I have my good weeks and my bad weeks but I am aware.

Over these past 6 months my body has changed. I have shrunk in some places, muscle is slowly starting to peek out from my arms and legs, my face is more defined. One thing I was not expecting was the mental strength I have attained. Call it confidence or clarity but I am looking forward to the next 6 months. Cheers! :drinker:

Great work Jo! And you have no reason to be negative, these are great results.

Funny you should post this, as yesterday I worked about my 12 month comparison.

In August 2011, I returned to work after my year’s maternity leave. I hated my body and the fact that I was still a stone and a half (20lbs) heavier than my pre-pregnancy weight.

So I joined the gym near work and got myself a PT.

    August 2011:
    Weight: 10 stone 8 (148lbs)
    Chest: 38 inches
    Waist: 33 inches
    Hips: 41.5 inches
    Bodyfat: 39%
Dress size: 14 UK (10 US)

    August 2012:
    Weight: 8 stone 8 (120lbs)
    Chest: 32 inches
    Waist: 28.5 inches
    Hips: 35.5 inches
    Bodyfat: 27%
Dress size: 8 UK (4 US)

    Comparison:
    Weight: 2 stone (28lbs)
    Chest: 6 inches
    Waist: 4.5 inches
    Hips: 6 inches
    Bodyfat: 12%
    Dress size: 3 sizes

I am now half a stone lighter than my pregnancy weight and my pre-pregnancy clothes are a little big. I now have a serious gym habit and need my lunchtime fix! But, best of all, I am fitter, stronger, thinner and happier. :)

WOW, great job to BOTH of you! I really wish I would have taken my measurements at the beginning of my journey because I can feel by body changing although I haven't lost a ton yet. Way to go! You guys rock!!
