For me grilling is your everyday average cooking with charcoal or propane.
BBQ is longer cooking times with smoke.
I want to get more involved with smoking.
I need a good smoker.
I have an old Weber i can indirect with.0 -
Cliff, have you ever tried just putting some wood chips in a foil pack, poking holes, and tossing it on the coals when you indirect? I highly, highly recommend. I haven't even used the smoker ever since I started doing this. But the smoker still has its place for things with very long cook times.0

Grilling, direct heat with quick cook times.
Bbqing, indirect heat with long cook times!
When I'm bbqing i use charcoal for the heat and wood for flavor.
Some people like to go straight wood,i haven't tried that yet, i don't like my meat over smoked.
Tasos foil packet is a good trick on propane grill or if you're using charcoal i like to soak one chuck of wood and throw it on the coals and let it smoulder.0
