Horror convention question

Next month I'm going to go to my first horror convention and I was wondering if anyone has ever been to one, and also would it be more beneficial to upgade my passes from regular admission to VIP? The main difference between regular and VIP is that with the upgrade you get front of the line access at all celebrity tables, special seating at discussion groups and film showings, admission to the celebrity VIP party, and a Scare-A-Cuse collectors T-Shirt.

If we upgrade that's $100 per pass ($300 total because we have 3 passes).

Well.. I would say if you have the money, and can do this without it hurting your finances in the long run, then why not?

This is a once in a blue mooon kind of thing. Might as well go all out! Besides, you'll have a more valueable time if you go with the VIP pass.

    I'm rather jealous of you!

My main thing with it is that I'm taking my son with me. He's 25 years old and developementally disabled. He has no patience for waiting and I can't see him waiting in a long line to get to the celebrity tables (especially the guys from Ghost Hunters).

I gotta agree, this doesn't happen often. Granted with the regular passes that I have already purchased, we still have access to the celebrity tables, the discussion groups, film showings and other parties that are there, just not the added bonus of the VIP stuff. (they don't send anything in the mail with purchase, you take the purchase information e-mail and then present that at the window to get the passes......they said upgrades can take place then)

I've been wanting to go to one of these for a long time, and they finally got one close to where I live. So excited, september 13th needs to get here fast lol.

So, its an added $100 for the upgrade? Or $100 for a VIP ticket? If you paid $50 for a regular ticket, and the VIP ticket is only $100, then dont you need to just pay the $50 ticket to upgrade it? Since you have the case of no patience and you seem to have the money for it, I say go for it! Why not? Imagine the line to see the Ghost Hunters crew? It will be redonkulous.

When I purchesed the passes I got them at a discount of $30 each for the full weekend. The VIP passes are $125 each, so would have to get the additional $95 (may as well be $100). This is only the second year that this convention has taken place, so not sure what crowds will be like there. They have added a ton of celebrities there for this year so I'm guessing that presale on passes have gone well.

As long as I'm there, that's all that matters to me.

well.. Just weigh the pros and the cons of this V.I.P. pass. If the pros out-weigh the cons, then you have your answer right there!

The number 1 thing on my pro list is not having to stand in line and wait to get to table to meet, get autograph and picture with Kane Hodder lol I lose all train of thought after that LOL

Turning Stone Casino in Verona NY (just east of Syracuse)....it's called Scare-A-Cuse. They have a website with all the information about it. It's about a 2 hour drive from where I live so will be easy to get to.
