You can look at my diary and see what I eat. I'm pretty boring though and eat a lot of the same things. This is just how I eat most of the summer, grilled veg, grilled meat and a bit of starch. Lately, most of my carbs come from fruit. In the winter I do a lot of the same with winter veggies, less fruit. Sigh, I'm boring. I actually love to cook but have been too busy.
What you want to look out for is recipes with lots of starchy stuff or sugar. I make my gravy with xantham gum instead of flour or cornstarch. It turn broth into a clear gravy sort of the texture of cornstarch gravy but has almost no carbs. Whole grains digest slower than refined (white flour) grains. Quinoa seems to do pretty well for me and is a great substitute for rice. I sub some splenda for sugar in a lot of recipes although when you bake you often need sugar for texture.0
