What's a good goal time for my first 5k?

I *think* I've been training at about a 12 min mile pace. Is it reasonable to think I could run a 5k in 36-38 minutes? I'm planning on signing up for a race that's scheduled for what should be my W9D3 workout. I'm so excited!

I would say definitely. I've never been a runner but last year did C25K and ran my first ever anything last Sept at 47 yo and it was mostly running with a bit of walking and finished in just over 34 min.

    Good luck to you!
