hahahhahaha, crap, it's been so long that I can't harly remember what kinds we had at basic (in 1999!). I do remember thinking that the vegetarian ones were much better, I think there was an alfredo one that was yummy. I remember one had a ham steak and it had the "grill" marks on it an everything.

Cheese Tortellini. The vegetarian ones are so much better. None of that fake meat taste.

Actually - I'm going to have to say those milk shakes. Heat up a peanut butter packet. Squeeze that in there. Throw in m n' ms. And you're golden.

Calorie intake must be though the roof but who gives a damn ha

The TOTMs got rid of the milkshakes, peanut butter packs, and cheese. Makes me so mad.

Cheese tortellini and veg burger are the best. Most people I knew loved the tortellini because of the M&Ms though...

It's been years since I've had an MRE, and honestly, I have an iron stomach. I'll pretty much eat anything.
  • I'm a chicken and salsa fan big time. Got to be heated up and with a bit of salt. I have a case of MREs in my garage now. No plans on eating any, but they sure have changed since I went to basic in 91. Back then, I would trade my candy for the dehydrated fruit.

I actually enjoy the Ratatouille mre, as well as anything with grilled chicken, However I avoid them if at all possible.

Cajun Beans, Rice, and Sausage was always my favorite breakfast while deployed. After that the Spicy Penne Pasta is a close second.

Agreed! Maple Sausage because of the blueberry granola! Yummy!
