Insanity grads: now what?

If you've finished Insanity what have you moved on to?

I just finished my last workout (still need the final fit test tomorrow) and I'm unsure as to what I want to do. My goal with Insanity wasn't to lose weight and I'm thankful I didn't. I just wanted to get up and move around and actually start being healthy. So yeah, it definitely worked for that!

I don't want to get into old (lazy) habits, so I'm just curious as to what you all have done.

I've taken two weeks off doing just the recovery videos and afterwards I'm starting Tapout XT!

I am on round 2 of Insanity. I plan to finish 3 rounds before Christmas. :)
  • Thanks for the input!

You guys are awesome for doing more than one round! I think I need a break. ;-) I may try to pick up running or do some p90x/Insanity hybrid, hmm.

Running is awesome. Unlike insanity, it is quite relaxing actually...once you suffer through the beginnings of it. :) I miss it...I've been running on my rest days and ahhhhh....it's so great. So I vote for running. I hated it at first and never thought I could be a runner...now I love it so much.
  • Any idea how long I'll suffer? ;-) I went on a mile run for the first time yesterday and my legs are sore today! This is the first time EVER that I ran with very minimal stops to breathe. I want to keep it up for sure!

Honestly, it sucked for a long time...a month?? But as long as you do it a few times a week, you will improve quickly and feel SO AMAZING when you run farther than you have before. I suffered through because I had signed up for a 5K with a friend and I really didn't want to let her down. Is that something you could do? But I really LOVE it now. I mean, I look forward to it. It's still hard, but wonderful. Good for the body and soul. :)

My goal, once I finish Insanity, is to do a P90X/Insanity hybrid, and then move on to Insanity Asylum. I also just found out that Asylum Volume 2 is going to be released in the fall. Might have to plan on getting that too!
  • I'll definitely keep it up, Kate! Today I'm taking a break since it's warm and my legs feel so sore. I love the feeling and can see how it can be addictive. :-) I'm not aware of any 5Ks coming up, but I'll look into it! Thank you! :-)

That's awesome, karaks! My husband bought Asylum so I'm thinking of doing it eventually as well. Good luck with your plans! :-) Sounds tough and like a fun challenge.
