Hey all!
I am new to MFP and loving the site already... looking to connect with other FP members who are taking a no-nonsense, positive approach to fitness.
That being said, here is a little on me:
I recently started Jillian Michaels Body Revolution after gaining more than twenty pounds in the last year since I've been married. While I'm not out of shape by any stretch of the imagination, I was pleased to notice that I lost 5 lbs in my first three weeks only to gain it back in my last week in phase 1!!! Now, I wasn't as disciplined with my eating which prompted me to join MFP to get more regimented about tracking my intake.
Just as a side note, while I did gain the 5 lbs back, I also dropped a whole percent in body fat and have lost a substantial (at least what I consider to be substantial) amount of inches in those areas that matter most to us ladies!! Here's a look at my current stats:
32 years old
Height: 5' 10"
Weight: 167
Target weight: 150(ish)
Body fat %: 27.7
Measurements: 36/30/40
Also I typically weigh in at the same time and the same day every week.
I've read a lot online that says sometimes when gaining lean muscle mass, weight will typically spike while body fat declines and that's not necessarily a bad thing!
I say all that to say that I was interested in seeing if anyone else has had a similar experience while beginning JMBR? I also jog/run about 3 miles about 3 days a week.
Interested to hear about other's experiences!
Please also feel free to add me as I love making new friends and perhaps we can compare notes as we move towards our weight loss goals!
Be well,
Charlotte

I will be starting Phase 2 on Monday and planning on taking pics every 30days, for me thus far I have been osing but then again, my starting weight is higher than yours and a tad bit shorter than you. So far I feel that the biggest change is in my clothes and came up with my own motivational quote "Great feeling to go from laying down to button, to being able to put on without unbuttoning." Hoping to have many more of these moments with my clothes that currently barely fit. Excited to see the end result. Feel free to add me.

Hi Charlotte,
I started my second round of BR last week, starting with Disc #5 and am loving it all over again. I didn't lose as much weight as I had hoped to, but I also didn't follow her diet. I tried to stick with the recommended calories most days, but if I went over, I went over ;o( I did lose almost 21 inches though, and that is what kept me going!
This time I'm more serious about it and have almost lost 4 lbs in the last two weeks. Our stats are similar (well...except for age ;o) so I thought I'd share:
40 years old
Height: 5' 11"
Weight: 162
Target weight: 140ish
Measurements: 36/30/39.5
Crazy how similar they are! I'd love to be friends and keep each other motivated. I also have been at least walking 2 miles a day, while trying to fun some...but I have to say I haven't reached the "runner's high" yet ;o(
Good luck!
