PAIN!!!

3 WEEKS IN AND I HAVE SEVERE RIGHT ANKLE/FOOT PAIN. I THINK ITS TENDINITIS. WHAT CAN/SHOULD I DO TO TRY AND TREAT THIS WITHOUT GOING TO THE DR? I HATE THE THOUGHT OF NOT RUNNING TODAY. I AM AFRAID I LOSE WHAT STRENGTH I HAVE GAINED. ANYONE EVER HAVE THIS PROBLEM?

I had main in my hip kinda like that, and I just needed to stretch it out. I stretch before and after now, before I didn't and I would get severe pain. The only thing I can suggest is maybe different running shoes, that have more support?0

Does it hurt so much that even walking is painful? If not, and your shoes are good and supportive, I'd back off the running part and just walk the miles. Sometimes you need to build up that muscle in your legs and knees first. Also, I started biking on my off days and that seems to have helped tremendously in keeping overuse pain at bay.0
