Hello Group!!! =)

I am looking to find some additional friends on here who may have gone through or are going through what i am now so that i can have some additional help, motivation, support and possibly be able to lean on each other....

Back in 2001, i was training for the NPC Natural Ohio show to go onstage as a Figure Competitor. Obviously, i am not there/in that shape any longer. Hence, my being on MFP and trying to lose A LOT of weight!

What i am looking for are other MFP members that have gone through the same thing. Were you once planning on competing and then "life happened" and you are getting back in shape and into the competition scene? Were you overweight and lost it and managed to get yourself on stage to compete?

Anyone, male or female, is welcome to reply!! I am looking for those in similar shoes with similar goals!!!!

Oh, and feel free to send me an add request if this is similar to you!!!!!

Thanks in advance!!!!

    Yes, me!! Here's my timeline:

    Pre-2002: Weighed 240 pounds
2002: Lost 90 pounds, discovered figure competitions, started training but never competed due to a medical issue that prevented me from lifting weights for about 6 months.
2003-2011: Life happened! Got married, had daughter, kept active through running/general fitness but weight went back up to about 165
2012: Decided to start training again for a figure show. Competed in my first show on June 2. Just competed in my 2nd show this past Saturday, taking 2nd place in figure open tall and just being edged out by my teammate by 1 point! Competed at 133 lbs. this last show, which was a little too lean.

I'm training for my 3rd show now, and I hope to add a little more size and compete at about 135-138 lbs. The diet and program my coach gave me this time around is different, as we discovered that at the end, I get lean fast! September 22 is my last show of the year, and then I'll be going through an off-season bulk. I'll compete again next year in April, hopefully NPC this time. :)
