Batman (the Adam West version) and especially Robin, of course. That show is why I became an engineer. And Johnny Weissmuller in the old Tarzan movies, and Bruce Lee as Kato in The Green Hornet, and David McCallum as Illya Kuryakin in Man from U.N.C.L.E. And George Reeves (Superman) and little Hadji from Johnny Quest.

Kristy McNichol, complete with tom boy name "Buddy" on Family

Nancy McKeon as Jo Polnacheck on The Facts of Life

I am a child of the 80s. I appreciate the Charlie's Angels too but they were on too late for me.
OMG... I too had a crush on Kristy McNichol although I think I also secretly fancied her TV dad James Broderick (real-life father of Matthew "Ferris Beuller" Broderick).

I certainly had a serious crush on Gil Gerard as Buck Rogers in the 25th Century as well as Mark Harmon in 240-Robert (and later St Elsewhere) He's still serious eye-candy even at 62  whereas poor Gil now looks like he needs to be on MFP

I may, or may not, have had a tiny crush on doogie howser. Don't judge me!

You're in luck! Rarely does the TV crush turn out to be playing for our team... or is that just me?

Mortifyingly, my first TV crush was Tasha Yar from Star Trek: The Next Generation. My first movie crush was Uma Therman, basically in any context.

Edit: I forgot to add that I also had a crush on both the female Thundercats when I was little (Wilykit and Cheetara). Don't judge me.

Somehow I missed out hearing about Jan-Michael Vincent. Looks like someone I would have been interested in at the time.

JMV is reported to have been discovered by Rock Hudson which reminds me McMillan and wife. I think that is when I realized I liked older men.

Jan Micheal Vincent...AirWolf!! Used to love watching that show. Ah, cheesy '80's action shows. For a guy, he was very good looking.

Robert Conrad on Wild Wild West... Boy oh boy could he ride a horse

  • Susan Dey on the Partridge Family, and Kristy McNichol on Family.

On a side note, I always suspected Paul Drake and Perry Mason were a little too well dressed to be straight!

Amy Jo Johnson, as the Pink Ranger (Kimberly) in Power Rangers. I really had a thing for her and her character. I remember writing Kimberly's name on my notebooks and stuff. Which kind of amazes me now, because I was only like... 6-9 years old at the time. Crushes can start pretty early, can't they?
  • The first time I watched Zombieland, I had my eyes fixed on Emma Stone.
  • oh, yea! is that one that they had him tied up ?
I have the entire show on DVD and all I can say is WOW! I don't know, how, they got past the censors.
