Daily Exercise

Good morning everyone,
Well I am new onto the messageboards here and thought I would kick off with an exercise post. I used to do this post on the Weight Wtchers messageboards so I thought I would see how it went here. As I believe that exercise is just as important as diet, I thought this would be a good way for people to share their daily exercise and sort of stay accountable for reamining active. Any feedback in regards to the post is always welcome
Well due to a shoulder injury I am currently really restricted to walking and, ironically enough, swimming. That is as long as I keep it light. So today I think that I am going to do a 5km walk and aim for about 35 to 36 mins (my record is 5kms in 33 mins and 44 sec done last Friday) and if I can get work to let me do another PT session this afternoon, I'll go and belt out 30 laps in the pool. That should give me about 893 extra cals for the day (538 for the walking as I walk at 5mi/8km an hour) and 355 for the swimming.
What does everyone have planned for the day?

Doing 5k on my treadmill (now that I've managed to fix it!) and a little light lifting. I can only manage about 40 minutes for 5k due to being an old dud. I aspire to 30 minutes then want to move on to 10k injuries and illness permitting!0

Hi all,
Well I did 1hr & 6mins of resistance training this morning. I am in my final week of Michelle Bridges 12 Week Body Transformation (12wbt), so I completed the training program as outlined on this weeks training plan. So I did squats, squat jumps, lunges, chin ups, dumbbell flys, bent over row, dumbbell chest press, burpees, turkey raises (I think that's what they're called), planks, and a heap of ab exercises. Feel sore but great. I love that feeling of pain you get when you know you have worked hard.
Weird thing to say, but I think I am beginning to enjoy doing burpees....
I hope everyone else has a great workout today.

@Workshy: is that a 5km walk or jog?
@Terri: That is a wierd thing to say. But if you are starting to like burpees, try madisons. They are the evil cousin of the burpee. What you do is drop down like a burpee and do the push up, but instead of pushing back up and standing you sprint off from the bottom of the pushup. That should add a little spice to your workout0 -
Hi roninmars, I walk and jog. I see-saw from 6.5 - 8kph according to my treadmill and cardio trainer app; however I think they are both wrong. I average out at high 7's according to the app which seems too fast for what I am doing (speeding up and slowing down). When I get an hrm I will have a better idea I suppose.0
