Hey... week 2 completed yesterday. I am a former PE flunkee (I was the band and math geek) ! Big klutz, little muscle. So the fact I am even attempting this is funny. I am not fast at all. My joints are screaming at me. But I would like to keep trying.....0

Keep at it, it will pay off in the end. No worries about your pace, working on putting some minutes together speed can and will come later.
I completed day 1 of week 2 today so you are 2 days ahead of me keep on going.0 -
Week 3 Day 1. I ran out of road, so didn't walk the last 3 minutes set. Honestly didn't think I could "jog" the whole 3 minutes, but I did. As slow as I go I am sure it looks quite comical. Not to mention I have to drag the dog the laST 1/2. Don't think he'll be able to graduate from week 3. Boooooo0

Week 3 Day 3. Added another 90 second interval just to get back home. Not sure I am ready for Week 4. I am sure my dog is not.
I guess I can tell my lungs are handling it a little better. Cutting minutes off my total time which is great !!0 -
Good luck!0

Great work!
I just completed day 1 of week 3. Nice seeing the mile time come down isn't it?!?!?!
BTW, for anyone interested, I find the loops on Livestrong quite helpful, can map out a loop. Determines the milage for you,

Started week 4 yesterday. Had to loop past the house cause as I suspected dog was not gonna make it. Poor "old" baby.
I made it thru the 5 minute sets. Whhoooo hooo !! Don't have a app or stopwatch, so I am counting the whole time. LOL !! I think I lost count a few times so hope I ended up adding time instead of shorting myself.
Took dog out twice today, no run. He was a lot happier !! Haha0 -
im sara and new to this group and MFP today but i am a walker already i joined the couch to 5k program but i was not determined enough to actually do it as supposed too nothing to motivate me and keep me going, i have my challenges with running like i have no right knee cap i have a prosthetic vertebrae and even after nearly 5 yrs after surgery my shoulder and neck still hurt and kill me when i try to jog i found jog with my neck collar on helps but i cant do races with a collar so i need to learn to run well i need to jog first i can do just under a minute without pain its not helpful because i am determined that in June i will run and complete my first 5k survivor mud run obstacle course in Seattle WA. area. I need to train for this though so any hints and advice is appreciated, i do not have access to a gym either so can not do a lot of machine work so far i use Wii sports to do some cardio tennis and things to work on breathing but even then running is still so far ahead for me i want to run this race with 2 friends but they already run marathons so even training with them is out as they leave me for dust so hopefully i will get the input and kick in the *kitten* when i need it to get in shape. pain is not a motivator to keep on doing what hurts but i am no quitter am planning to start tomorrow.0
