Vitamin b12 deficiency?

Read an interesting article about low vitamin b12 and the effects of sub clinical state. A lot of the symptoms are similar to hypothyroid which I definitely have, but wondered if this could mask a vit b 12 issue as well. Can happen with excessive exercise.
Has anyone found this an issue?
Or taken protect shots, supplements or patches?
Worth a try?

I have been Vitamin B12 deficient for some time now. I have taken it sublingually and intranasal. It's similar to our problem with Vitamin D. My body does not absorb the B12 from food. Years ago I was on Metformin and was told that it blocks the absorption of B12 -- but I haven't taken Metformin for about 5 years and I am still deficient if I don't take the supplement.

The intranasal is prescription and uber-expensive, but you can find good B12/Active Folate for a reasonable price.
