Hi Everyone-
I have been eating Paleo/sometimes primal/generally low carb  for a few weeks now and feel really good. The weight is coming off, and it just feels really good to not be putting all of that processed crap into my body anymore. I have been eating the fake stuff for so long that I had literally forgotten how absolutely delicious some foods are! Pure pasture butter vs. fake diet butter, Whole roasted chicken vs. flavorless boneless and skinless...I could go on and on. I am sticking to the 80/20 rule, but tend to stay low carb, with the "cheats" being the occasional canola oil in a marinade, pure cane sugar in the coconut milk creamer, or the glass of wine that occasionally calls my name! One of the strangest things that has happened lately is that I have developed a pretty strong aversion to refined carbs...the thought of eating bread is so unappealing to me now. I was never a huge bread eater, but still...it is weird.

I keep my diary public to friends and am always looking for new ones to provide support and recipe ideas!

Whole roasted chicken vs. flavorless boneless and skinless...

Welllllll dont totally knock a boneless, skinless chicken breast. If you know how to properly prepare, season and cook it, it can still be part of a wonderful low-carb intake.

I had to put a pantry cabinet in just to house all of my oils, season rub mixtures, spices, salts, sauces, etc because well.. I need my cabinet space for other things....

I also cook whole roaster chickens as well - just bought a 45lb give or take, box of whole chickens from our Sam's club here.. but I also have a 50lb case of boneless chicken as well.

    Welcome to our group!

Hi there! I'm finding the same thing, especially with the real butter versus diet margarine!

    Howdy, good profile pic :)

Yup, I've found that I crave less processed stuff as I've got into it. I am actually averse to consuming it these days.

I think consuming grains is addictive so cutting them has probably helped cravings a lot for me.

Its amazing isn't it. I made hubs a loaf of bread (and I mean legit made from scratch..kneaded with my own two former bread loving hands) to take on a trip with him this weekend and did not want to pick a little bit off to taste. That bread was how I feel about making hotdogs....I'll make it for someone but I wouldn't care to eat it lol. I've lost the desire and it feels awesome when that happens!
