im into ketosis yet, only just the beginning, tested this morning with the stick and im like the second one frm not being any ketones, whereas the day before was no ketones at all,
i had a biscuit today and didnt realise fruit salad had carbs in it until id eaten it so i had 37g of carbs today will that take me to square 1 again? (nt that its a big deal if i am cz its only been a day)
bt just want to know the limit?

For me I have gone up to 30-35 carbs a day and still remained in ketosis. I have a friends GF whos upwards of 50-75 a day and still in ketosis.
I have heard it really depends on the person. I have noticed that in the morning I will not test positive for ketosis but if I work out about an hour or so later I will.0 -
Im a male at 206 lbs so that might make a difference, however I've survived two or three lapses of up to 75-80 net grams of carbs without going out of ketosis. My daily intake is 35-45 net grams at full ketosis...
Real grams (including Fiber) are 55-60 grams...
So I'd say relax and keep on going strong...
Opps didnt read you had not entered ketosis yet.. so maybe not... at least 3-4 days in my case at under 20 grams are required.. but as you say its only been a day... so start strong tomorrow and don't sweat it.0 -
It totally depends on the person. I personally can drop into ketosis eating 50carbs, but it depends on what kind of carbs for me (like if I eat a sweet potato, it doesn't seem to affect my ketosis, but fruit does. It's totally up to your body)
Biscuits and fruit definitely both have carbs, so if you're shooting for a certain carb goal like 20, avoid those for the time being0 -
Chill...
I don't trust the stix. They can be off for many reasons. (especially if you are drinking plenty of water)
Just keep your total carbs under 100g and you should be ok. [Preferably under 50 during the first 2-3 weeks of induction.] Also I encourage doing some research on Targeted Keto (TKD), Cyclical Keto (CKD) and Intermediate Fasting (IF) for more information on how you can manage carbs and total caloric intake while maintaining performance for the use of Keto in the long term.
There are numerous resources on line related to those topics.0
