is to lower my weight by 7 pounds in the next 100 days. This may be no biggie to most, but I am on a no cardio life right now, due to injuries. ( torn calf muscle, stress fracture in other foot) I am in a walking boot for AT least 1 month. ) I will prove you can lower your weight with DIET and strength training . November 8th will be my two years since I reached my goal weight of 144, and I will reach that again. ( 7 pounds)! That is my challenge!

I will cut out as much added sugar as I can (hopefully to zero) and now that it is cooler, do more outdoor walking....so much more fun than the treadmill.

I really want to work on my arm strength..so my goal will be to be able to do 5 pull-ups by then, and to run 5 miles in under an hour (I am a VERY slow runner)
  • My goal is consistently try and eat clean, 6 days a week. I want to lose 8-10 lbs and feel better.

My goal is to get to bed earlier at night so that I'm not so tired and sleepy during the day. In bed, lights out, by midnight every night for 100 nights.

I want to limit my sweet snacks to 300 cal a day (on average) - I'm trying to be decent.

Following Jeanne's example (I've already raised the issue on MFP a couple of times) I'll try to get 8-9 hrs of sleep (this means I ought to be in bed around 10 p.m.).

Thank you, Jeanne, for pointing this challenge to us and thank you, Tami, for it and for inspiring us. I, like Jeanne, strongly believe that you can do it! :flowerforyou:

Here's to the 100 days :drinker:.

    Hi Tami--

I've been around a long time, as well. Took off 50 pounds, and then a horrible combination of real-live starvation mode (1200-1400 calories for 18-20 months, not eating calories back, and training for a half marathon) combined with the thyroid from hell caused the weight to pile back on nearly overnight....WHILE eating 1400 calories and training.

So, from a weight standpoint, I'm not back to square one.....but I came close.

In any event-- still here, still committed to a healthier lifestyle.

My goal for the next 100 days is to eliminate bread in the following forms: breads, buns, rolls, bagels, waffles.

If I have tacos with the family, I'll have corn tortillas, but avoid the flour ones.

This is something I should easily be able to do....and yet, while I "dabble" in it, I haven't committed to it.

Jeanne-- you are indeed the top-- thanks for sharing this with our black team. Making fitness goals is tough with my family and lifestyle-- but this bread is a biggie.

I recently celebrated my three-year anniversary on MFP (August 17). My 100-day goal is to get back into my happy weight range of between 140 and 145 (long-term goal after that is to STAY there). It's where I feel my best, and I was there long enough to know that it is completely doable. My brain has always known that hitting goal weight didn't mean I could go back to old habits, and yet I've found myself being less vigilant too much of the time. Thank you for this challenge and for the inspiration, Tami. It's one more reminder for me to be accountable. Apparently, I need it!

I have been on MFP for four years now, although the first year I was not very consistent. I have made it to my goal weight about a year and a half ago and been maintaining ever since. I have been an exercise nut for as long as I can remember and am a certified fitness instructor currently teaching at La Fitness.

My 100 day goal is going to be to drink at least 32 oz of plain water a day. I get sufficient liquids, but just not in the pure form of water. I think I may be part camel. I never seem to feel thirsty.

    Good luck everyone!
